We are aware that this is a very worrying and sometimes distressing time for the relatives of our residents, during this time our number one focus is going to be the safety and care of all those under our ward and we will continue to work tirelessly to keep everyone safe whilst also keeping everyone in good spirits.
We are contactable throughout this time via telephone and email and welcome your calls and inquiries, we also have the ability to arrange phone calls and video calling. Rottingdean Nursing Home has always believed in an open visiting policy however due to the Covid19 Outbreak precautions have been put in place to maintain a safe environment for both residents and staff.
Family and friends can maintain contact with residents via video link or phone calls by phoning the home and booking an allotted time.
Face to face visits with one family member can be booked by phoning the home, screening questions will be asked and visits will take place in the front garden behind a Perspex screen, maintaining a 2 meter distance and a mask must be worn.
For residents that are at End of Life and following careful risk assessment on an individual basis one chosen visitor may be able to visit within the residents room maintaining a 2 meter distance and wearing appropriate PPE. All visits would be by appointment only and screening questions would be asked.
For residents that are at End of Life final stages and following careful risk assessment on an individual basis immediate family members may be able to visit within the residents room one at a time maintaining a 2 meter distance and wearing appropriate PPE. All visits would be by appointment only and screening questions would be asked.
The home reserves the right to revoke visiting at any time should the situation change and necessary measures need to be undertaken.
